One house, two disciplines

GDC World is home to several projects: the English-language podcast Texas Calling, travel films shot mainly in the United States, and the software we build and run ourselves.

The engineering side is the same house. Web apps, cloud infrastructure on AWS, and the tools we needed badly enough to build. Cat’s Health, The Recipe Book, the Travel Planner and the Season Planner all started as private problems and are now open to other households.

We publish the work rather than talk about it — an episode with its transcript, an app with the account model written down. If something is not built yet, it says so.
